Account Deletion

Hide (“Hide: date & spot”) allows users to permanently delete their account directly from within the app.

How to delete your account

You can request account deletion by following these steps in the Hide mobile app:

1. Open the Profile section (the last item in the main navigation menu).
2. Tap Settings (top-right corner).
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm your decision by typing Delete.
5. Your account will be permanently deleted immediately.

What happens after account deletion

Once your account is deleted, the process is immediate and irreversible.

Data that will be permanently deleted

The following data associated with your Hide account will be fully removed from our systems:

• Profile information
• Photos and media
• Matches and likes
• Location and place-related activity
• Preferences and settings
• Any other personal data linked to your account

Data that may be retained:

• Chats and messages exchanged with other users

This is done to ensure a consistent experience for other users and to preserve conversation history for participants of the chat. Retained messages are no longer linked to your personal profile and cannot be used to identify you.

Data retention period

Any retained data is stored only for as long as required by applicable laws and regulations.
